Community volunteering in Washington County, Tx supporting local parks |
Highlighting park maintenance efforts and youth baseball involvement |
Last week, the local WoodmenLife office partnered with Brenham Baseball and Brenham Softball for their annual Giving Together Project at Hohlt Park.
A dedicated group of 40 volunteers collaborated with the Parks staff to enhance the park's vibrancy and upkeep.
Their efforts included planting two new trees, cleaning information signs, and securing fence toppers on all fields.
This marks the fifth consecutive year of the project, with special thanks to organizers Amanda and Russell Kohring.
Brenham Independent School District (BISD) baseball and softball players played a significant role, assisting WoodmenLife's donation and participating in park signage cleaning.
The players also contributed by planting a pecan tree, further beautifying the park.
Their collective efforts underscore the community's commitment to maintaining and improving local recreational spaces. |
