The 37th Annual Cotton Gin Festival brought vibrant energy to Burton, Texas, as locals and visitors celebrated the town’s storied cotton legacy.
Festivities began with a lively Main Street Parade featuring antique tractors—some nearly a century old—classic cars, and colorful floats, all cheered on by a crowd brimming with community pride.
The Burton High School Band added to the excitement, marching alongside entries from local businesses and groups.
After the parade, families browsed a bustling marketplace filled with Texas-made crafts and mouth-watering local fare.
A standout moment came when the historic 1914 Burton Farmers Gin, America’s oldest operating cotton gin, sprang to life at 3 PM, mesmerizing attendees with a cotton baling demonstration.
Live music and family games kept the celebration going, as Burton showcased its enduring heritage and tight-knit spirit.
