Burton’s next after-hours outing comes with a useful planning detail: the town event and individual businesses do not all advertise the same closing time.

Wine & Wander is scheduled for Friday, October 30, 2026, with Destination Burton hosting an evening of shopping and participating-business stops.

The tourism calendar lists the town event from 6 to 9 PM and tells visitors to begin at the Texas Cotton Gin Museum for an event map.

This edition carries a Grease theme, with 1950s attire encouraged in the listing.

Make the map your first stop

The museum is at 307 North Main Street in Burton, making it a concrete starting address for visitors coming from Brenham or elsewhere in the coverage area.

Collecting the event map should be more useful than assuming every Burton shop has extended hours.

Use it to identify participating locations and decide which stops matter most to your group.

No complete current business roster or detailed drink package was confirmed in the sources reviewed.

The event description mentions signature drinks, but it does not establish that every drink or purchase is included in admission.

Know which clock applies

There is a genuine discrepancy in published information.

The tourism calendar gives Wine & Wander a 6–9 PM window, while the museum’s own antiques page advertises its Wine & Wander participation from 6–8 PM.

The Pink Door on Main also announces an October 30 late opening that ends at 8 PM.

Plan must-visit stops before 8 PM, then confirm what remains open for the last hour of the wider event.

That approach accommodates the difference without promising a business will stay open later than its own announcement.

Antiques shopping is a separate decision

Antiques at the Pavilions runs October 23 through November 1 at the museum property.

Its daily hours also differ between listings: the museum page says 9 AM–6 PM, while the tourism calendar says 9 AM–5 PM.

Call the museum at 979-289-3378 before building a trip around the final shopping hour.

The tourism listing advertises covered shopping and free parking for the antiques event.

That parking statement should not be interpreted as a guarantee of an available space beside every Wine & Wander business.

If you intend to combine daytime browsing with the evening event, leave time for a meal and confirm each stop separately.

Shop with a short plan

For anyone considering furniture or larger decorative pieces, bring measurements and think through transport before making a purchase.

Ask sellers about condition, pickup timing and payment arrangements rather than assuming those terms are uniform across businesses.

A photograph and a written measurement can help prevent an attractive find from becoming an awkward fit at home.

These are shopping suggestions, not claims about the goods any particular dealer will offer.

For the evening itself, comfortable footwear matters more than an elaborate costume.

A 1950s-inspired outfit can follow the theme without making walking or browsing difficult.

Confirm before the drive

Check the event map, current organizer updates and individual store announcements on Friday.

If drinks are part of your evening, arrange transportation in advance and ask participating businesses about their service requirements.

No verified ticket price, age policy or all-inclusive tasting arrangement was established in the reviewed notices.

The best plan is to start at the museum, prioritize earlier-closing shops and let the participating-business map guide the rest of the evening.

Details were checked October 27; all times are Central Time.
